Frame Construction
Kiln-dried laminated hardwoods with extra large corner blocks, and an insulated
wood inner frame with cross braces between each seat section for increased rigidity. The entire frame is then “cocooned” in polyurethane foam padding, to ensure no hard edges come in contact with the leather, and that tailoring of the piece is smooth and clean.
Padding & Ergonomics
High resilient polyurethane foam, at a minimum of 2.2pps density. Futura cuts
their own foam cushions at their factory and add extra layers of premium foam to enhance
the shape and to prolong the cushion life. Every seat is tested and sorted according to
firmness to ensure a consistent feel.
Tailoring
Futura’s master upholsterers receive extensive training, so they can deliver high
quality furniture with an attention to detail. They are responsible for all aspects of
upholstering the item, from covering the arms to attaching the seats and back, even down to
hand nailing the furniture and attaching the legs.
