Construction & Materials
Seat Support
We use at least 4 no-sag springs per seat. The springs are held in place with individual metal springholders and wrapped in plastic to reduce squeaking.
Frame Construction
Our frames are crafted from Nordic Spruce and birch plywood and dried in our own facility. Dryness is always between 8-12% to ensure a sturdy frame. Traditional mortise & tenon joinery and seatbox dovetails ensure solid stability. They are bench-made, or crafted by hand, to give you a piece of heirloom quality furniture.
Padding & Ergonomics
We use 2.2 density high resiliency foam and Dacron from recycled plastic bottles on all of our cushions. Different levels of comfort are available for special order - choose from soft, medium, or firm cushions.
Tailoring
We computer-cut our fabric whenever possible to reduce waste. But we will cut our patterns by hand when the pattern requires matching or repeat to assure the highest level of accuracy in your fabric tailoring.
